In the fourth sign recorded by John, Isa feeds a vast crowd with only five loaves and two fish. Everyone eats and there are baskets of food left over. Yet John uses this miracle to move the reader from physical bread to a deeper question: what does it mean if Isa himself is the true bread from heaven?
